Default Toggle Skill Bar Sets

I searched for this so apologies if Im repeating someone else's post.

I think it would be good if you could have a toggle button that switches your entire skill bar and attribute points allocation, and would work much the same way as when you switch wepons sets at the moment. That way you could toggle between complete skill sets and name them for what they are good for... "runner", "FoW", or "farming" etc. The reason I say this is that Im fed up switching skills all the time and attribute points back and forth for different missions etc. I would never go to FoW or UW with same skills as I use to farm sorrows or farm solo for example. Obviously you could only do this in outpost etc and not during game.

This seems so obvious that I cant be the first to want this so again sorry if I repeated a post but I did search.

Any thoughts?

refund points?? How lang haven't you played anymore... There aren't any refunds anymore. It is possible to change attributes as much as you want in town. Without any kind of penalty, but you can't change attributes oustide of outposts anymore.

The idea is perfect Just what i need anyway

Although Ethical, Thats why they took away attribute refund points.

They wanted to make it easier, not do it for you. Imho, if you're going out, you should be able to toggle full sets of skills, but then again thats why you're there..refund em, tweak the skills categories, and pump in skills to the hotbar and you're set..

But yeah, /signed. I like it although I feel it would be making people a lil' bit lax with looking at the [H] button < Damn, I look sexy.. /dance>

Lol.

I was gonna post a thread about this but then found this...

I totally agree! Recently I've been trying out all sorts of new builds and changing skills and attributes gets kinda tedious...

Perhaps have a limit on the skill sets though, like the weapon sets.

incredible idea

/signed to the max

Its so annoying to have to change your skills all around each time you want to do something different, especially when you use the same few builds almost all the time.

And of course there is nothing sadder than forgetting to change attributes from farming then starting a run

i was thinking of something just like this, only i thought of loadable player profiles chosen after selecting your toon but befor entering.
if a method like this is used you can easly have 1 pvp toon with 1 name and load a profile you saved of any class with any attributes any armor basicly exactly as you saved it.
for PvE it obvisly would only be your profession but loaddable with with differnt stuff's.

anyway,

Agreed. I seem to remember rearranging skills and leaving town only to discover I hadn't rearranged attributes.

If you think about this, in some respects it isnt a good idea, and prolly won't even come about, it would just be like when solo monks could switch attributes during a mission, if you haven't knoticed, you can no longer take away attributes outside of a town, tho you can add them, what might be viable is switching skill sets that are under the same attributes.

Gotta think of pvp also, too many combonations, and could basically be considered sorta of cheating, focas switching for skill sets, lol fun idea but would complicate things a bit too much i think, including armor switching, which i know a few people do to change the +1 attribute with head peices just to get more out of a certain skill....bah.

Thats an easy fixed, as long as your in town you can switch bewteen skill sets, but once an instance is entered you are stuck with your selection, unless you rezone.

A bad idea as it would make everything a lot easier and u could make thousands of infinite builds it would totally the balanced part of GW. Also, it's impossible changing ur attributes out of an outpost wich would make u have skillsets in same attributes.

I think it's pretty clear that the OP meant skills and attributes could only be changed in town. For people that switch back and forth between 2-3 builds (or more...ugh), this is a huge time saver. On quite a few occasions I have entered a mission having set skills but not attribute point, or set 7 of 8 skills (missed the rez spell once and cost my party the mission).

This feature wouldn't unbalance a thing and would only make the game quicker and more user friendly. I am all for it /sign
